Tasting Notes Winemaker tasting notes. ”Pronounced fresh strawberry, cherry, anise and brown spice aromatics with...subtle earth components. Flavors of plum and fresh red fruit in combination with...minor vanilla, resinous and mushroom attributes. Medium-weight on the palate; harmonious acidity and firm tannins make up the pleasing finish.”
Technical Notes The fruit was sourced from vines planted on Red Tail Ridge’s estate in 2005. Clones: 23, 113, 114, 115 and Swan. The grapes were hand picked, fermented in small lots and punched down twice per day. The wine aged in older French oak barrels for 10 months.
