Meo-Camuzet Frere et Soeurs Nuits St. Georges Argill 2008 750ml

Meo-Camuzet Frere et Soeurs Nuits St. Georges Argill

The cuvee of red Burgundy is made from our own parcels in Vosne Romanée and Flagey, plots made up mostly of old vines producing more concentrated wine for appellation level. They are vinified gently without stressing the extraction, according to the same principles as other parcels of the area. This wine is complemented by the purchase of grapes or wines from winemakers of the Cote de Nuits: Marsannay, Fixin, Nuits St Georges and Morey. The vines of appellation "Bourgogne" located in these prestigious villages share characteristics of freshness, structure, or power. Hence sometimes a certain rusticity, we soften that by incorporating cuvées of village appellation that bring a touch of refinement to the whole. The wine is mostly aged in barrels that have been used for one or more vintages, but this wine follows the same elevage as the other wines of the domain. We tend to taste it too soon because of its acidity, it always expresses a great freshness and can age well, it deserves to be aged two years after bottling or more.
