We drank a bottle of the 2005 Bodegas Beronia Rioja Crianzo a few weeks agaoand it was fabulous. Noodled around online, could not find the 2005 in the USA, but found the 2008 at Wine Chaateau. Be sure to decant it or let it breathe for an hour or two before serving the 2008 and you will have an excellent wine with your meat or chicken
Bodegas Beronia is quintessentially Rioja. Its wines are defined by the region and the soils in which the vines are grown, its name linked to the 'berones', a Celtic tribe who inhabited La Rioja Alta in the 3rd Century BC.This is just what you'd expect from a good crianza. Red fruits like cherry and raspberry all wrapped up in that lovely vanilla oakiness.
