A reserved white with taut, complex layers of vanilla, florals and nuts, the wine quickly opens up and offers a rich and ripe palate edged with notes of straw, herbs and nuts.
(100% Garganega). This single vineyard offering was named after the rootstock upon which the plants were grafted. Handpicked fruit from estate vineyards in Monte Foscarino planted on basaltic lava was destemmed, macerated on its skins for 4-8 hours, crushed and cold settled for 24-36 hours. The wine fermented in oak (30% new) and received battonage every six weeks for eight months. Before bottling, the wine was racked and filtered.
