Deeply saturated, with dark purple tones spread throughout, and aromas of black currants, blackberry, slight bell pepper and vanilla spice. While the varietal percentages in this blend are unknown, it seemed that the Cabernet showed dominant on the nose, and the Zinfandel and Petite Sirah came through more on the palate; jammy blackberry, peppery spice and big chewy tannins came through on a medium-full body.
This smooth red wine contains eight different varietals: Cabernet, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Merlot, Mouvedre, Syrah, Zinfandel and Sangiovese creating 8 Layers of flavor complexity. The smooth, lush palate has note of red cherries, blackberries, coffee and baking spices. Try it paired with our recipe for grilled beef tri-tip with espresso barbeque sauce.
