Beaulieu Vineyard Merlot Napa Valley 2008 750ml

Beaulieu Vineyard Merlot Napa Valley

A graceful, balanced blend from several Napa Valley vineyards, this wine displays vibrant fruit character with lush aromas and flavors of black cherry, plum, mocha and spice.

In 1900, Georges de Latour arrived to find Napa Valley planted to orchards of walnuts and prunes. His vision for making wines that would rival those of Europe helped establish what has become one of the most important wine regions the world over.

When Georges and Fernande de Latour first traveled to the heart of Napa Valley in 1900, Fernande took one look at the lovely Rutherford expanse and exclaimed "beau lieu," or "beautiful place."

From the ingenuity behind surviving Prohibition, to the crafting Napa Valley's first "cult" Cab, to the construction of our new Georges de Latour Private Reserve Winery-discover the exciting history of Beaulieu Vineyard year by year with a pictorial timeline.
