Huckleberry, hibiscus tea and dried cherry on the nose evolve to deeper notes of forest floor and charcuterie. Tannins are smooth and sweet on the palate, with acidity building to the finish. An opulent Pinot with luxuriant mouth feel and weight.
Manchester Ridge Vineyard is a 30 acre vineyard located at 2,000 feet in the Mendocino Ridge AVA. It is planted with Dijon 777, 115 and 114 clones on highly eroded sandstone overlooking the Manchester plain in Mendocino County. Cold soaks and primary fermentations are done in open-top, modified dairy tanks; 45% whole cluster. The wine aged for 10 months in French oak.
