This is a great red wine for better health in moderation and taste. Its priced right. I will purchase more of this wine.
We were introduced to this wine at Olive Garden. It is a wonderful red. We love it!!!
This is an awesome wine!! I've introduced some of our friends to this wine and now they are excited to purchase some. My sister was never a wine drinker until she tasted this wine. A friend of ours owns a Italian restaurant and is not big on wine until she tasted this wine and also was very impressed. Thanks for carrying this wine !!!!
I'm not much of a wine drinker, but after tasting this at the Olive Garden, I had to have more! Very sweet, tasty, and no alcohol bite! It is great for sipping instead of dessert at a meal. The price is wonderful too! Thanks for carrying this awesome wine! -Dave Shimko / Lockport, IL
Color: Brilliant ruby red Aroma: Intense aromas of blackberries and ripe wild berries Taste: Fresh, lively and frizzante with a soft lingering finish
Wine Maker Notes
Each variety is harvested and vinified separately, allowing the grapes to reach perfect ripeness. Following de-stemming, the juice is kept on the skins for several days at low temperatures to extract the fruit’s aromas and color. When the wine reaches 5% ABV, fermentation is halted by refrigeration and the wine is blended. A natural second fermentation in tank creates a delicate “frizzante” (sparkle) in the wine. The second fermentation is halted when the wine reaches 7% ABV maintaining an ideal touch of natural residual sugar.
Northern Italy provides a spectacular backdrop for Roscato, a violet-hued red with aromatic notes of cherry, blackberry and red raspberry. A touch of sweetness and bright acidity underlies the appeal of this charming wine. "~ Winery Notes
"Roscato Rosso Dolce is a blush wine produced in the Moscato d'Asti style, with residual sugars giving it an off-dry finish. Instead of the Moscato (Muscat Blanc) grape, it is produced with the red Italian Trentino-Alto Adige grapes Teroldego, Lagrein, and Croatina. This sparkling 'blush' wine has been popularized at Olive Garden restaurants, but is also available from EmpireWine.com."
Highly versatile. A great aperitif and equally splendid with tomato-based sauces, classic Italian dishes and spicy foods. Enjoy chilled.
Please drink responsibly.
