The vineyards of Château Musar are located at an altitude of over 3,000 feet (1,000 meters) in the Bekaa Valley where the vines are sheltered by the surrounding mountains running parallel to the Mediterranean coast. They cover 445 acres and produce a limited yield of about 303 gallons per acre. Fermented in concrete vats, then rested in concrete vats for 9 months before being bottled.
A red ruby color with hues of violet. Nose of rich red fruits, berries, blueberries, cherries and strawberries. Fruit forward on the palate with dominate red fruits. The hints of strawberries, soft smooth tannins and a nice long velvety touch, full of spices fill the finish.
