Wine Maker Notes
The fruit for our Sauvignon Blanc comes from vineyards in Lake County. Located just north of Napa Valley, this region sits at a moderately high altitude, wrapping around Clear Lake, one of the largest natural lakes in California. Although the temperatures can climb during the day, the high elevation keeps nighttime temperatures cool. This climate, combined with the well-drained, volcanic soils, allows grapes to ripen slowly, developing intense fruit flavors alongside well-balanced acids.

Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most versatile wines for pairing with food. It has a natural affinity for anythingfrom the sea: freshly shucked oysters, all shellfish (grilled or sautéed), fish with herb butter or sauces, even sushior Pacific Rim-Asian cuisine. It also serves as a great starter-course wine to go with an array of appetizers, salads, green vegetable dishes, grilled poultry or light pasta preparations with fresh herbs and extra-virgin olive oil.
