Bright and enticing nose showing layers of citrus, rich pear tart, honeydew melon, toasted hazelnut, and mineral notes. Complemented by hints of honeysuckle and vanilla cream. Vibrant d’Anjou pear and Fuji apple, with subtle pineapple, citrus, and honey highlights. The round and full palate is silky and bright, with
good minerality, creamy complexity, and a long, clean finish of mineral, white nectarine, and Meyer lemon.
One of the coolest growing seasons on record, the 2010 vintage was noted for its very moderate summer. Temperatures were warm, but below normal, delaying Chardonnay harvest by one to two weeks. This produced beautifully elegant wines with rich, vibrant fruit and crisp mouthfeel. Chardonnay was harvested between September 13 and October 9 in our Carneros and southern Napa vineyards.
