Little Black Dress Merlot 2010 750ml

Little Black Dress Merlot

Aromas of ripe black cherry, red licorice, plum, and sweet toasty oak with hints of perfume, cranberry and warm herb. Smooth and rich mouth-feel with hints of red cherry, berry, vanilla, and sweet oak. A nice lingering finish.

If you’re passionate about Merlot, make Little Black Dress your ”go to” red. This wine is rich with aromas of ripe black cherry, cranberry, and warm herb, complemented by hints of vanilla and toasted oak. This medium-bodied Merlot can seduce even the most experienced of palates with its nice lingering finish.

The 2010 growing season began with a cool, dry spring followed by a mild summer. In late September a warm indian summer brought the Merlot vineyards to ripeness and each vineyard was carefully picked as it reached its optimum maturity. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was aged in French, Eastern European and American oak barrels for 22 months. Before bottling, small amounts of other Bordeaux varieties were added to the final blend to give the wine balance and complexity. This produced a rich and multifaceted wine that is enjoyable now as well as for several years to come.

Excellent with meats or hearty foods.
