Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 750ml

Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon

The highest vineyard on the Chimney Rock estate, Alpine is also the most challenging area to cultivate with its steep, terraced rows. These demanding growing conditions and the volcanic, well-drained soils only allow a miniscule amount of fruit per vine, resulting in small concentrated berries. This special vineyard invariably provides rich, luxurious wines that also possess subtle but clear aromatic hints of dried herbs, and evoke the great wines of the Old World.

Color: Deep and dense red velvet color
Nose: Bright red plums and blackberry are interlaced with vanilla and hints of cocoa and clove
Palate: Voluptuous burst of fruit at the front palate followed by an enveloping mid palate with an ensuing bright delicate finish

“Firm, yet well-integrated tannins support a core of dark red fruit, flowers, mint and licorice in this bold, structured Cabernet Sauvignon."
