“The beauty of a blend,” explains Winemaker Jason Dodge, “is the flexibility it allows me to follow a desired style. For this wine, I selected Zinfandel, Syrah and Merlot, all varietals with inherently vibrant fruit, smooth body and low tannins. The Zinfandel gives ripe raspberry flavors, the Syrah lends juicy boysenberry and blueberry notes and the Merlot rounds it out with succulent plum and blackberry. Together, they create a wine with intense fruit character and a velvety smooth, rich mouthfeel.”
