Tasting Notes Dark and dense with a streak of graphite minerality that balances notes of blackcurrants and toasted spices. Medium-firm tannins carry elements of ripe plum and lush black fruits, with hints of graphite, cedar toast and Indian marsala to a lingering finish.
Technical Notes The best parcels of Shiraz are selected from vineyards with soil types that range from red loam, black loam to deep sand over limestone. To increase the concentration and tannin structure of the varietal, juice from additional pressings were added to the blend and it was matured in French (85%) and American (15%) oak for four months.
