A rich, food-friendly, balanced wine thatoffers fragrant aromas of black cherries, plums and hints of spicy oak, tobacco and vanilla. Flavors of blackcurrant and plumjam are complemented by notes of mocha and spice. Cabernet Sauvignon from 12-15 year old vines planted in Langhorne Creek (73%) and the Limestone Coast (27%) wascrushed in 10 ton open-top fermentors and left on its skins to cold macerate for three days. Fermented in oak, the wine aged ina mix of two and four-year-old French (80%) and American oak (20%) for 12 months.
