Veneto- Strong and attractive cherry aromas on the nose with a pleasing spiciness. Great power and balance on the palate, with aromas of ripe fruit, cherries in spirit and blackcurrants. Soft and well balanced with a long finish with hints of vanilla and cocoa, just like an Amarone.
Ruby red colour; dry with a complex nose of plums, prunes, leather, cinnamon spice and violets; dry, medium-to full-bodied with generous fruit on the palate; well balanced with a nice backbone of spice and tannins.
The Boscaini family have owned and run Masi for six generations, and are one of Veneto's most well established producers. This wine is made by fermenting fresh grapes, then re-fermenting the wine along with some partially dried grapes, to create rich and complex flavours.
