A youthful wine with cassis, blackberry, mulberry and plum aromas. The palate is rich and robust with dark fruit, integrated oak and hints of earth and mocha. Supple tannins lead to a long finish.
Twenty percent of the grapes were placed on racks and allowed to dry for six weeks in the appassimento or Amarone method. Fermented on skins for six days, the wine was pressed and racked to neutral oak for nine months.
