Complex and layered aromas of plum, orange rind, bing cherries and blackberry with faint earthy aromas of mushroom and soil. Tannins are masculine and well-balanced with bold, ripe fruit giving the elegant structure. Flavor profile is dominated black fruits and smoked meats with underlying of blueberry, cocoa and toasted oak.
This wine showcases grapes from the Krupp Estate Vineyard situated highabove the Stag’s Leap District. The Tempranillo, Merlot and Malbec come fromcool, shallow, Aiken soils that are ideal for optimal ripening. The Cabernet forthis blend comes from an intense, rocky block that gets just the right amountof sun.
