Chateau Fuisse Pouilly-Fuisse Les Combettes 2010 750ml

Chateau Fuisse Pouilly-Fuisse Les Combettes

This is a rich, powerful and age worthy Chardonnay the is incredibly complex from the nose of honey and vanilla to it's palate of layered orchard fruit, spice and lengthy finish.

Terroir: One of the three monopole bottlings of Chateau Fuisse, the vineyard of Les Combettes covers just 4.4 acres within the village of Fuisse. Vines are densely planted in a well drained soil made up primarily of limestone, pebbles and small amounts of clay. Vinification: The grapes are brought to the state-of-the-art winery where they are sorted and placed in barrel for fermentation. The must rests in the cellars of Chateau Fuisse for 12 months in used oak barrels (3 to 5 years old). To retain it’s vibrant acidity no new oak is used in this cuvee.
