Kris Pinot Grigio 2011 750ml

Kris Pinot Grigio

Pale yellow in color with brilliant greenish reflections, enticing aromas of acacia flowers, citrus, tangerine, and hints of apricots and almonds. Kris is lean and refreshing on the palate with hints of blossom and honey.

Pale yellow in color with greenish reflections. The nose recalls acacia flowers and the delicate scent of almonds. Clean and refreshing on the palate with hints of linden and honey. Recommended with risotto dishes and grilled white meats.

Production area: Mulinat & Lehen - located 800-1,600 ft. above sea level, with South/Southwest exposure and a stoney and clayey soil composition

Vineyard characteristics: 330 acres planted in 1965/1985 with a density of 1,600-2,000 vines per acre. The vines are planted in the Pergola Trentina/Casarsa/Guyot method and yield 6.6 tons per acre.

Kris is one of the great values in Pinot Grigio. Tank-fermented and aged, it is a light-bodied wine which exhibits good texture along with plenty of peach, tangerine, and citrusy notes. This fruity, dry Italian white is ideal for drinking during its first 12 months of life. 87 pts Robert Parker
