Aromas of black and red cherry, anise and earth meet bright but textured notes of strawberry, cherry cola, and currant. The silky and long finish features hints of coriander, cedar and cinnamon.
The Hyde family planted Calera (50%) and Swan (50%) clones that are well suited to the maritime growing conditions particular to this vineyard. The fruit was co-fermented and vinified (10% whole cluster) with natural yeast and minimal cap manipulation. The wine matured in tight grain French oak (50% new).
