This wine is a blend of 80% Sangiovese Grosso, 20% Merlot. The grapes are vinified separately with a 10-day maceration that includes malolactic fermentation, then matured in French barrique for 10 months, blended and rested for six additional months in stainless steel containers. The color is an intense ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, aromas of red fruit, spices and flowers are detected. On the palate, the great roundness of the Merlot meets the delicacy of the Sangiovese and gives persistence and extraordinary tannin.
