2010 is the first vintage of our Yulupa Pinot Noir. The grapes are sourced from select coastal vineyards that have excellent varietal character that are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation is complete the young wines are aged in a combination of French and European oak to enhance their delicate flavor. Before bottling the individual lots are tasted and blended together and a small amount (one percent) of Syrah is added to give the wine additional complexity and body. The result is a harmonious and delicious wine that is an excellent accompaniment to food.
