Tasting Notes A deep red, with a ruby rim, aromas of nutmeg and red pepper merge nicely with notes of violets and sweet spices. The palate is intense, with smooth, friendly tannins and pleasing, wellbalanced acidity that leads to a refreshing finish.
Technical Notes (90% Carmenere/10% Petit Verdot). The vineyard is located in the Aconcagua Valley, planted mainly on alluvial soil. The grapes were hand-picked, crushed and fermented in stainless steel. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out with twice daily pump overs. Because the grapes are from different blocks of the same vineyard, postfermentation maceration time varied from 10-26 days depending on the development of each lot. Aged for eight months in neutral French and American oak.
