Tasting Notes The nose of this warm weather sipper is bright and refreshing, teasing your taste buds with a bouquet of citrus blossoms, jasmine, and key limes, accompanied by notes of candied apples. The wine bursts forth in the mouth, delivering everything the nose promised with additional flavors of crisp white peach and fresh ripe apricots. All of these lush characteristics are immediately balanced by the wine's characteristic lively acidity and lingering stony finish.
Wine Maker Notes The Estate Sauvignon Blanc is made in a fresh, clean style with a good acidic backbone and a lively finish. The wine is a pure expression of the fruit without any influence from oak cooperage. The fruit is harvested at the exact right moment so that the wine has a nice balance between citrus and stone fruit aromas. The wine is made to drink early and will show its best on a summer day. 100% Sauvignon Blanc, 100% Round Pond Estate, 100% Rutherford, 100% Stainless steel, 0% Malolactic Fermentation, 0% Lees stirring. "My goal with this wine is to transfer the fruit from the vineyard directly into the wine glass. I shoot for the ‘not-quite-tropical’ fruit category. Essence of white peaches in a glass." -
