L'Ecole No. 41 Chardonnay Columbia Valley 2011 750ml

L'Ecole No. 41 Chardonnay Columbia Valley

Schmitt Vineyard provides an expressive mix of tropical fruit, fresh apple, and characters of flint and slate, while Evergreen Vineyard contributes crisp acidity, minerality and complexity on the clean, lingering finish and the rocky Oasis Vineyard adds aromatics.

The fruit is sourced from three vineyards – Schmitt and Oasis Vineyards in Yakima Valley and Evergreen Vineyard in Columbia Valley. Whole clusters of Chardonnay were harvested in the cool morning hours, promptly pressed to tank and allowed to settle. Aged in second and third year fine grained French oak barrels, the wine matured for six months on its lees with battonage.
