Wine Maker Notes
Located in Cote Chalonnaise, Mercurey is one of Burgundy’s most notable appellations, with a diverse terroir ranging from marly and calcic soils to Jurassic rocks to white limey soils to red clay. This wine is fermented in stainless steel and French oak barrels and subsequently aged in barrel. Rich and full-bodied, Roux “La Perriere” offers cherry, raspberry, and strawberry with hints of tobacco and cocoa. The wine pairs well with steak, lamb, and roast pork, as well as a variety of cheeses.
