This Merlot offers aromas of nutmeg, clove and spice paired with robust flavors of ripe black cherries and boysenberries. The finely grained finish highlights layered notes of spice and cocoa.
Estate fruit from Seven Hills was blended with grapes from Pepper Bridge and six other prestigious, mature vineyards. Each lot was hand-harvested, gently crushed into 1.5 and 5 ton stainless steel fermentors, manually punched down. The wine aged for 18 months in small oak barrels (30% new) and was racked four times.
