Wines That Rock Merlot Rolling Stones Forty Licks 2010 750ml

Wines That Rock Merlot Rolling Stones Forty Licks

With the Merlot, I wanted to capture the essence or the attitude of the variety grown here in Mendocino County. Certainly a lot of flavors of black cherry, a bit of mint, and some apricot in there, so some interesting fun things, and certainly a little bit of cedar on the end of the whole wine. A great wine for us and a lot of fun.

To capture the essence of Forty Licks, the 40 tracks that cover the Rolling Stones’ career, Winemaker Mark Beaman chose to work with Merlot. This varietal captures the comfort of turning to a solid classic that stands the test of time. Much like the band itself, Mendocino County winemaking stays true to its roots with a consistent and confident character not caught up in fads or trends. Cherries with hints of cinnamon and spice. Flavors of raspberry and strawberry with black cherry and a spicy finish.
