Aromas of game, spice, sweet pipe tobacco and leather precede notes of dense dark fruit and hints of smoke, cocoa and mint. Grippy tannins provide structure on the persistent finish.
(60% Cabernet Sauvignon/30% Merlot/7% Malbec/3% Cabernet Franc). The Pepper Bridge Vineyard is planted on the terraced remnants of flood deposits from the ice age. Fruit from this vineyard is generally acknowledged as some of Walla Walla’s finest. Each lot was hand-harvested, gently crushed into 1.5 ton stainless steel fermentors, manually punched down and aged for 22 months in small French oak barrels (50% new).
