De Loach Vineyards 2000 Estate Bottled Zinfandeldisplays a deep ruby color and intense, ripe, varietal fruitaromas of cherry, plum and blueberry. Flavors of ripeplum and boysenberry fruit mingle on the palate withhints of tobacco, followed by layers of vanilla in thelong, jammy finish. This wine is big, rich, and verysumptuous with a medium-full body and firm acidity.

Winemaker NotesThese estate-grown grapes were hand-harvestedOctober 16th – 26th, 2000. This wine is a blend of our 5Zinfandel ranches planted between 1895 and 1934.Located within one mile of the winery, these vineyardscomprise the heart of the De Loach Estate.With careful vineyard management, these head-prunedvines grow in light soils and produce intense fruit fromvery low yields. In the cellar, the juice was fermented instainless steel tanks and the wine was aged 9 months in acombination of A & K, Nadalle and World CooperageAmerican oak barrels.
