This dark purple Blend is composed of Old Vine Syrah and Monastrell. Notes of smoke, earth, spice box, and assorted black fruits lead to a full-bodied, complex, rich wine with loads of ripe fruit with a long smooth finish.
The Syrah contributes sweet, ripe blackberry/bramble aromas with hints of mocha. The Monastrell offers ripe, dried fruits (figs, raisins), spice and soft tannins.
Syrah and Monastrell from 20-40 year old vines planted in sandy loam and limestone soils was fermented in stainless steel and aged for 12 months in neutral French and American oak.
