Wine Maker Notes Our Castle Rock Sauvignon Blanc is produced from grapes grown in Northern California’s MendocinoCounty, where vineyards were first planted in the 1860s. Here, the headwaters of the Russian River carve a fertile and rugged landscape. The warm summers, cool springs, crisp falls and wet winters make ideal growingconditions for Sauvignon Blanc grapes, in a climate similar to that of the Burgundy region of France. This elegant, medium-bodied wine is crisp and refreshing, with aromas of grapefruit and pineapple, and flavors oflemon and peach on the palate. It ends with a sweet fruity finish and makes an ideal accompaniment for seafood, chicken, salads, and vegetarian dishes.
