Chateau des Landes Lussac Saint-Emilion 2010
BOTTLE SIZE: 750ml
A solid balance of oak and dusty tannins combine with notes of lavender, minerals, plum and wood in this rich, full wine with a strong cherry finish. The Vieilles Vignes is blend of old vines Merlot (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), Cabernet Franc planted on limestone and clay soils. Very aromatic and lifted on the nose with aromas of black fruits and touches of white pepper. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded, supple tannins and freshness of acidity. Quite lengthy on the finish.

Notes on the Chateau des Landes Lussac Saint-Emilion 750ML 2010

Technical Notes In 1952 Paul Lassagne, who was working in a local tile factory purchased a 2-ha plot including a cellar. In less than 30 years, the vineyard went from 2 to 7 ha. In 1979, Paul`s son, Daniel came to work alongside his father after obtaining a degree in viticulture and oenology. Over the next decade, he increased the size of the vineyard to 17 ha. By the mid-1990s, the vines and cellar had been entirely renovated and the family holding reached 30 ha, including a 24-ha single block in Lussac Saint Emilion.
