Grapes for our Chardonnay were sourced from several vineyards throughout California selected for their intense fruit profile and bright citrus flavors. Located along the Central Coast, Clarksburg and Lodi, each vineyard has a similar climate, consisting of warm days and cool nights. Ideal for Chardonnay, this combination of temperatures allows for the development of a rich, complex and balanced profile.A bright, expressive character and luscious mouth-filling flavors were paramount for our light, unoaked Chardonnay. To achieve this, we picked the grapes just a touch early, ensuring vibrant citrus and sweet floral notes. We fermented the fruit in stainless steel tanks. To lock in the ripe, mouth-filling flavors and lovely aromatic profile, we stopped fermentation just shy of completion. This left some of the grape’s natural sugars, giving the wine a soft, supple appeal with lower alcohol.
