A classically styled wine, the 2010 Chianti Classico San Felice is composed of Sangiovese with additions of Colorino and Pugnitello. This second grape once faced extinction and has recently seen a small renaissance thanks to the efforts of San Felice’s winemaking team. The wine is rich with tart plum, rose petal and dried cherry. The palate offers smooth, velvety tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.

Notes on the San Felice Chianti Classico 750ML 2010

Tasting Notes Aromas of dark cherry, raspberry and sweet violets. Medium-body, with soft round tannins.

Technical Notes Sourced from estate vineyards planted on galestro, a schist based soil common to Tuscany. Fermented on its skins in stainless steel tanks for 8-10 days, the wine aged for 10-12 months in French oak followed by an additional two months of bottle aging.
