It is pleasantly rich, with appealing flavors of red berries. The palate is intense, dry and velvety with a dry and smooth finish.

Will be preferred over many Chianti Classico’s in any blind taste test. Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. After, aged 3-4 months in oak barrels.
Produced from the Colombaia estate vineyard, this Chianti is a blend 90% Sangiovese with small percentages of Merlot and other Tuscan red grapes from the Casale estate. Fermented in stainless steel and then macerated for about two weeks, the wine matured for 3-4 months in oak.
Good with heavy antipasto and pasta sauces, roasted poultry and meat, and most cheeses. A typical Tuscan accompaniment would be "taglierini ai funghi tartufati", a pasta and truffled mushroom dish.
