A mix of spicy cherry, wild berry, plum and subtle licorice. Intense, hedonistic ripeness with superb balance.
Annahala Vineyard, located in Mendocino County, takes advantage of the cool Pacific Ocean air that funnels from the west or “deep end” of the Anderson Valley. The vineyard is planted on well drained alluvial soils of the Feliz and Pinole series that dominate the area. The grapes were picked cold, destemmed and cold soaked. The wines were fermented in small batches and aged in neutral French oak.
