2012 Tenutae Lageder 'Romigberg' Kalterersee Classico - Alto Adige, Italy A Demeter certified, biodynamic beauty from Lageder's Romigberg estate vineyard in the Kalterersee region of northeastern Italy. 100% Schiava - a lithe body and brilliant ruby color with charming cherry fruit, a whif of violets and an intriguing touch of bitter almond. Soft but dry. Elegance galore... Can be served room temp or chilled. Pair with simple pasta or bruschetta.

A medium-bodied red with pronounced aromas of red fruit, cherries and violets. Soft and subtle notes of bitter almond and spice are featured on the long and persistent finish.

Located near Lake Caldaro, the Romigberg estate vineyard sits at 820-1,000 feet and is planted to sandy and loamy soils. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured for three months in large Slavonian oak casks.
