Heritance Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is an assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It is deep ruby in color with very red undertones. The aromas are fresh and fruity showing more red fruit at the beginning, while blackberry fruit emerges as the wine breathes. The wine is beautifully fragrant, round, soft and graceful with a hint of spice, becoming increasingly more complex and complete as it opens up. The palate is smooth with plenty of fresh fruit up front giving way to a full and rich mouthfeel. With good structure and a solid core, it is very well balanced. The tannins are well integrated. The finish lingers as elements of spices, cherry, currant, tar and leather surface one after the other.
A round and classic wine, it presents fragrant black fruit and sweet spicy aromas, backed by mineral notes and a soft structure.
The grapes were carefully selected and after a few days of cold soaking, the musts were fermented at 85°F for about 10 days. The blend or assemblage of the small lots took place in various stages. The wines were aged for 20 months in 1-4 year old barrels, mostly medium-toast French oak with some American oak barrels.
(94% Cabernet Sauvignon/4% Merlot/2% Petit Verdot). The grapes were sourced from three different vineyards located along the Napa Valley floor that were planted on alluvial and gravelly soils. Each lot was cold soaked prior to fermentation and fermented for 10 days. After the blend was assembled, the wine aged for 20 months in medium-toast neutral French and American oak barrels.
Pairs well with grilled red meats (especially steak), hearty stews and hard cheeses.
