The Jonathan Maltus property Pezat is technically a Bordeaux Superieur (but it lies along side the St. Emilion property of Chateau Teyssier) from a super vintage. This is a fruity Merlot-based wine (85%), the rest CabFranc, with a good dose of oak and terroir, made for early drinking. Very attractive and well priced indeed. More structure than the early drinking 2009, lovely new classy label for 2010. Decant 3/4 hour and pair with lamb chops.
