The Saint-Esprit's deep color has a dark, plum-like hue. The nose is classical Syrah, with berry fruit, violet, licorice and spices. It has a full, rounded palate with delicate tannins. Saint-Esprit is a unique wine in the Cotes-du-Rhone appellation and can be paired with Provençale-style cuisine, game, stuffings and mixed grills.
The "Cuvée Saint-Esprit” shows off the strength and pepperness of the Syrah grape. The colour is deepgarnet red and has intense red berry aromas. It is an exceptional full-bodied wine with fine tannins.
The Côtes-du-Rhône is made with whole grape clusters that are vinified with traditional methods. Thecrop is totally de-stemmed and the grapes are placed in a vat where they are gently pressed and pumpedover every two days. The juice is then fermented for three weeks in open stainless steel tanks. The tanksare thermo-controlled between 64°F and 82°F.
