Appealingly dense and intense, with plenty of ripe and juicy wild blueberry and blackberry flavors, given traction by the firm tannins and notes of crushed rock, violet and tobacco spice. Powerful, yet still graceful.
An opaque purple, the wine offers aromas and flavors of white flowers, licorice, cassis, blackberries and sweet dark roasted espresso. Firm tannins and notes of crushed rock are nicely featured on the lingering finish.
The fruit was fermented naturally in small open-top fermentation tanks and aged for two years in French and Hungarian oak barrels. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
