Not surprisingly, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape (Domaine de Vieux Lazaret) possesses more power, concentration and substance. Dense black raspberry, garrigue, licorice and floral notes are found in this pure, impressively full-bodied 2010 along with lots of fat, glycerin, flesh and succulence. Enjoy this beauty over the next 10-15 years.

Notes on the Domaine du Vieux Lazaret Chateauneuf-Du-Pape 750ML 2010

Tasting Notes Deep crimson color with ripe, dark berries and spices. A rich and complex wine with a harmonious finish.

Technical Notes A blend of 13 Rhone varieties, but predominately Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault. The 35+ year old vines are planted on soils with rolled pebbles, stony terraces with sand and gravel subsoils and clay soils formed from the limestone mother rock. Destemmed and fermented for 2-3 weeks in concrete vats with twice daily pump overs. The wine aged for 18 months in cement vats and foudres.
