Classy Aglianico with aromas of smoked meat, fig, blueberry, cherry and clove. Dry, dense and concentrated with lots of tannin and an equal measure of fruit on the palate. Simultaneously rich and elegant. Long, fruity/spicy finish.
This full-bodied wine offers archetypal varietal scents of wild berries with notes of spicy pepper notes. The firm tannins and rich texture will soften and evolve with proper cellaring.
The fruit fermented in cement vats for ten days after which the wine was racked to wood casks and matured for 18 months.
