The wine shows ripe fruit on the nose along with notes of tobacco and spice. On the palate, the cherry and blackberry fruit is felt along with balanced tannins which give the wine suppleness and elegance. The finish is long and mineral in flavor, typical of the Sangiovese of Montepulciano.
A very careful selection of the grapes from the vineyards of 'La Braccesca' was made at harvest time. The grapes were then destemmed and crushed and maceration took place over a period of 15-20 days during which time the wine also completed its alcoholic fermentation at a temperature not exceeding 27-30°C. The wine was then racked and had completed its malolactic fermentation within the end of the year. After this the majority of the wine aged for a period of 12 months in barrels of different capacity, while a small part was aged in barriques. After blending 'Vino Nobile' was bottled and then further aged for 12 months. Alcohol : 13,5% Vol
