Niedermayr Lagrein Gries Blacedelle 2007 750ml

Niedermayr Lagrein Gries Blacedelle

This wine is named after the land from which it is produced: Gries is the name of the town where the vineyards are located, and Blacedelle is derived from the German word “parzelle” meaning “parcel.” After being fermented in stainless steel tanks, part of the wine is aged in stainless steel, while the remainder is aged in French oak barriques. Aromas of violet and wild berry fruit are backed by notes of chocolate. Full-bodied, with a velvety texture and lightly bitter aftertaste, this dry red is suitable with red meats, game — particularly venison — and hard, aged cheeses.
