Wine Maker Notes
Cepas Viejas, or “old vines,” is produced from old bush vines originally planted more than 65 years ago in the northwestern region of Bierzo in Spain. The nose is powerful with intense aromas of red berries backed by subtle floral notes of violets. The wine was vinified and aged in French and American oak barrels for several months, lending a hint of toasted oak and spices to the bouquet. Enjoy over several years with grilled and roasted red meats.
