I have ordered several bottles of this wine and I enjoy the wine and just ordered four more bottles, I do not like citrus tasting wines. I agree it is a creamy smooth taste with a light hint of very light oak.
It is a great wine, but I find the flavors all blend to a melon on the finish , the nose is slight citrus and the palate is avg. with the best coming together on the finish with melons and a slight creamy taste. I would drink it just nothing I would drink often.
In whose opinion is this a 5 star wine? It is good, but? To me a 5 star equals above a 90 rating.
Our vineyards include 11,000 acres throughout the cool California coastal regions, where our vineyards sit atop mountains, ridges, hillsides and benchlands. While growing grapes in high-elevation vineyards is difficult for both the vintner and the vine, the grapes grown in these elevated sites clearly produce the richest, most intense character and flavors. It is here that the fruit for our Vintner's Reserve wines are sourced.
In the winery, the Kendall-Jackson winemakers strive to fully express a layered and vibrant regional personality in the glass. Vintner's Reserve releases display an artful blending of these distinctive coastal grapes, creating wines that are complex and flavorful.
